HLCS started the meeting by talking about HLCS and its goals, the situations in the Holy Land and the problems that they youth face there during the current conflict. He talked about the youth committee in general, and how we started it, thanks to Father Sabbara. When Father Sabbara came to America, he went to Bishop Dennis J. O’Connell High School to talk about the situation and he suggested a Youth Committee when he saw all the youth listening to him and asking questions. He noticed the spirit of American’s which will keep hope in the heart of the Christian youth in the Holy Land.

During the meeting, HLCS introduced three young people to talk about their experiences regarding the Holy Land. Davina talked about her experience with Fr. Sabbara. Shatha described her experience in the Holy Land, and Adham discussed the problems facing the students there.

At the end, the Youth Committee of HLCS passed some forms out so other youth, not present, could fill them in to add to the Youth Committee. They also gave everyone of them at least one paper of information about a young person in the Holy Land to contact.
